Join us at Chocfest 29 for your first convention of 2026! Expect a day of relaxed fun, friendly faces, juggling (maybe) and the all-important Chocfest Chocolate Cake Competition.

  • Adult (16+): £15
  • Children (5-15): £10
  • Under 5s: free
  • Concessions available with a Chocfest Chocolate Cake Competition ('CCCC') entry at reg desk's discretion.

Other important things:

  • We have a new venue! We look forward to seeing you at Fulford School.
  • This is a NUT-FREE event at a nut-free venue - this includes peanuts and all treenuts. Please do not bring nuts, or any products containing nuts, into the school venue. This includes snacks, takeaways and CCCC entries.
  • CCCC entry is strongly encouraged. Just bring along a homemade cake to be judged by our team of esteemed panelists. The rubric is: chocolateyness, cakeyness, appearance, and judges' bias. Cakes are then eaten by the audience during the show interval.
  • Bring a mug – free tea and coffee available.

Workshops: Email us (chocfestyork@gmail.com) or comment below if you'd like to run one - you'll receive a secret upgrade to your Chocfest pass if you do! Workshops (if volunteers are secured) will run 11:00-15:00

Games: Expect the usual silliness, with the traditional York twists!

  • Due to increased venue costs we're on a bit of a shoestring budget, but aim to at least cover your travel.

Transport and parking:

  • Plenty of car and bike parking
  • Easy bus ride + 10 min walk from the train station - From York Station, get the number 7 (Park & Ride bus to Designer Outlet) from Platform RH. Get off at Fulford Church, about 10 min walk away from the venue. Buses run every 15-20 minutes, 07:00-22:30.
